What is a registrar transfer? |
TOP |
A registrar transfer is the transfer of a domain name from another registrar to Cnobin. This allows you to take advantage of our great support, free services, and low renewal costs. You can transfer your domain to us as long as it has been with your current registrar for more than 60 days and is not expired. |

What if the current administrative contact e-mail address for my domain is not correct? |
TOP |
We send the authorization e-mail to the current administrative address for the domain. Because this e-mail contains a unique link and acceptance key, it will need to be read and responded to in order to continue with the transfer process. If this address is invalid, then you have 2 options: (1) Update this at the domains current registrar, and then resubmit your request. (2) We can send the authorization to an e-mail address other than the administrative contact, if the owner of the domain sends us a fax copy of a notarized photo ID. Please request to send the Registrar Transfer approval email to a valid email address and please sign the request. After we receive the request, we will be glad to send the approval to you. |

My domain has expired with my current registrar. Can I still transfer it? |
TOP |
If your domain is near to expire, then it is highly likely that your current Registrar will deny your transfer request. You will need to renew the domain with them as soon as possible, or you may risk losing your domain. Please note that once it is renewed you will be able to transfer it to us without losing the time you have paid with them. |

Will I be charged a transfer fee if I transfer a domain name from another registrar? |
TOP |
It's a risk free process. Cnobin does not charge a transfer fee, but we do require a 1-year renewal fee. In the event of failed transfer, the renewal fee will be credited to your account. |
I have initiated a transfer from another registrar, is there anyway I can see the status of my transfers? |
TOP |
Yes, using the "Registrar transfer?>"Check Status" option in your account, here are the transfer status situations: Canceled: Transfer canceled upon request. Denied by Mail: The Admin contact denied the transfer. Denied by RRP: The REGISTRAR denied the transfer. Initied in RRP: The transfer has been processed. Mail Sent: We are waiting for the transfer Approval e-mail. Send Manual Mail: The transfer has to be processed manually. Pending: The WHOIS information is being gathered. (1) If the transfer is canceled upon request and you wish to initiate the transfer again, since the renewal fee was credited back, you can initiate again as if it never happened. (2) If the transfer is "Denied by Mail" this means that the admin contact of the domain did not approve the transfer. (3) If the transfer is "Denied by RRP" this means that the current REGISTRAR denied the transfer, the probably reasons are that the domain is on 60-day waiting period or it can be locked or on-hold. In any of the cases you should first contact the current registrar to know what happened. (4) If the transfer is "Initited in RRP" this means that it has been processed normally. Now, if more than 10 days have passed since it was processed then it means that the current REGISTRAR did not approve the transfer; you should contact support@cnobin.com to cancel the transfers. (5) If the transfer is in "Mail Sent" this means that we have not received the transfer approval e-mail yet. If the admin contact has sent the transfer approval e-mail and the transfer is still in "Mail Sent" it means that our automated system did not understand the approval, so you will have to send it again, if all this did not work, please contact support@cnobin.71.com. (6) If the transfer is in "Send Manual Mail" it means that the current REGISTRAR does not use a standard WHOIS service or the WHOIS database was not working properly when the transfer was initiated, you should contact support@ cnobin.com to make them manually process it. (7) If the transfer is "Pending" then it means that our system is gathering the registrant, contacts and DNS records. |
